It is no secret that games consoles can cost a lot of money. If you are looking to get the latest Xbox or PlayStation console then you can expect to pay close to £500 when it is released. This is why it is very important to try and look after your console to ensure that it lasts and that you get the most use out of it.
Positioning of your console is very important. Not only do you need to ensure that it is in a secure position and cannot be knocked off but also that it is not in direct sunlight or anywhere that liquids could be split on it.
Keeping your console clean is a must, but you need to be very careful when doing this. Dust can clog up the fans and ports inside and cause your console to over heat. By ensuring it is keep dust free you can help to maintain the main components inside. Always use a dry cloth to clean dust off your machine and ensure that it has plenty of space around it for the air to circulate. You may even want to invest in a special vacuum that can be used around the ports to suck any dirt or dust out.
If your machines starts to have issues, then take it to a repair specialist as quickly as possible as they may be able to fix it before it becomes damaged beyond repair.

Within seconds of the Black Friday sales launching yesterday, the website for popular website GAME crashed. The sale was launched at 8 pm, with many promises from the retailers of packages including PS4s, Nintendo Switches and Xboxes. However, as people loaded up the website at 8 pm, the site crashes almost instantly.
People took to Twitter to complain and were talking about a white screen, saying the website was indicating an error and was simply timing out. The website is now back up and running, and it looks as though many of the bundles are still available. These are some of the most popular:
- 500GB PS4 console with Gran Turismo Sport and Knowledge is Power
- PS4 Pro 1TB console with Gran Turismo Sport, Uncharted: The Lost Territory, Overwatch and Now TV pass
- Nintendo Switch console in neon or grey, with Super Mario Odyssey and Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Deals will be available today, with indications from GAME that they will sell out soon.

The standard edition of the Xbox One X is now available to pre-order. With the Xbox One X Project Scorpio edition selling out almost immediately, there is no need to worry – there is still the opportunity to get your hands on the standard edition.
Microsoft have said that the Project Scorpio edition was the fastest-selling Xbox pre-order of all time. It has been confirmed that it will not be made available again, so if you missed out, the standard Xbox One X console will be your best bet.
130 games will be able to make use of the power behind the Xbox One X. Some are brand new and some will be more familiar, like Dead Rising 4 from Microsoft Studios, Mafia III from 2K, Tinfall 2 from Electronic Arts and World of Tanks from Wargaming.net.
The console can now be pre-ordered from all major retailers. It will be released officially from the 7th November 2017.

If you’re a steam user, you may want to take a look at the wide range of games that frequent the top sellers’ list on Steam. It really displays a wide range of styles of games to choose from, so you’re almost certain to find something to your liking. There are games which cost money as a one-off in addition to the large number of games that charge for what is, usually, a relatively small amount but are otherwise free.
Currently, the most popular MMORPG on Steam is the Elder Scrolls Online:Tamriel game, which is also available on console. There isn’t much doubt, however, that the game is better suited to a PC platform, so the game is a better experience through Steam.
There is also a large number of sandbox crafting games, such as Wurm, that grace the list. These are great for people who like that sense of accomplishment from finishing a task in a game while they slowly build up and master their environment.

Nintendo have a great history of releasing amazing, innovative products that capture the imagination of the public. From the original Gameboy and Tetris, through the Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance: SP, Nintendo DS and, finally, the Nintendo 3DS (of which there are a couple of additional models.)
Despite the Nintendo 3DS being five years old the sales continue to be strong; with games like Super Smash Brothers and Pokemon driving sales all across the world. Nintendo aren’t ones to rest on their laurels though; the last year has seen the release of the Nintendo 2DS – a machine without the 3D capabilities and without the folding hinge in the middle, designed (and priced) for children. There’s a third model releasing too, early next year, with a slightly improved processor, screen and battery life. This New 3DS promises to give the Nintendo handheld a new lease of life and, I’m sure the company is hoping, will sustain its sales in all of the key territories.
